AskJev terms of service.

The short version

• AskJev is a free beta. It may change, break or stop, and its results can be wrong.
• AskJev is in closed beta. You need an account and an invite code to search. Without a code you are on the waitlist for the open beta.
• Your game information stays yours. You let us use it only to run AskJev for you.
• Match results are research, not promises. AskJev compares public information about creators with your game. It does not predict whether a creator will reply, cover your game or help it sell.
• Contact creators respectfully and lawfully. No spam, no mass mailing, no harassment. You are responsible for any message you send.
• AskJev uses YouTube API Services, so you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
• We handle personal data as described in the AskJev privacy notice.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Warweaver Studios ("we", "us") about your use of AskJev at askjev.warweaverstudios.com.

By creating an account or using AskJev, you agree to these terms. If you use AskJev for a company or studio, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.

Who can use AskJev

• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
• AskJev is for people who make, publish or market games, and for their teams.
• Give a real email address that you control, and keep your details accurate.
• One person per account. Don't share your sign-in or your invite code with anyone we didn't invite.

The closed beta, invite codes and the waitlist

• AskJev is in closed beta. An invite code unlocks searching and other features. We give codes to invited testers and communities, and we may decide who gets one. Anyone can join the waitlist for the open beta.
• The beta is free. There are no payments during the beta. If we offer paid plans later, we will explain them first, and nothing will be charged unless you choose a plan and agree to its price.
• To keep the beta affordable, there are daily limits on searches, checks and other actions. When a limit is reached, try again the next day.
• We may change, pause or end the beta, or any feature, at any time. When the beta ends we will tell account holders what happens to their accounts.
• We welcome feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve AskJev without owing you anything for them.

Your account

• Keep your password secret and use a strong one. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away at games@warweaverstudios.com if you think someone else has used it.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

Your content

"Your content" means the game descriptions, links, edits, notes, shortlists and message drafts you put into AskJev.

• You keep ownership of your content.
• You give us permission to store, process and display your content, and to send the parts needed to our service providers, only to run AskJev for you and to keep it secure. The providers are listed in the privacy notice, which also explains how they may use it.
• You confirm you have the right to use what you give us, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
• Don't put in personal data about other people, confidential information you may not share, or anything unlawful.
• We do not claim ownership of AskJev's results for your projects. You may use your shortlists and drafts for your own game marketing.

Creator information and contacting creators

AskJev shows public information about YouTube and Twitch creators, including business contact details they have published, so you can find people whose coverage fits your game.

When you use it, you agree to:

• use creator information only to consider and contact creators about your game, with care and respect;
• follow the anti-spam, privacy and consumer laws that apply to you and to the creators you contact. For example, these include Japan's Act on the Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail, the US CAN-SPAM Act, and the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in Europe;
• send individual, relevant messages. No bulk or automated mailing lists, no repeated messages after someone says no, and no misleading subject lines or claims;
• honour any request from a creator to stop contacting them;
• not export, sell, publish or build a database of creator information from AskJev, and not use it for anything other than your own outreach. Keeping creators in your shortlists, notes and message drafts for that outreach is fine;
• not harass, threaten or pressure creators, or offer anything that would require them to hide paid promotion. Paid or sponsored coverage must follow disclosure rules, such as platform rules and consumer protection law.

AskJev drafts outreach messages for you. You decide whether to send them, and you are responsible for what you send. AskJev never sends messages to creators itself.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law, or use AskJev to break these terms or the YouTube Terms of Service;
• try to get around invite codes, daily limits, rate limits or security;
• use bots, scrapers or scripts to use AskJev, or put an unreasonable load on it;
• probe, attack or reverse-engineer AskJev, except where the law allows it and you tell us about any vulnerability you find;
• create accounts with other people's email addresses, or impersonate anyone;
• resell AskJev or its results, or offer them as your own service;
• upload malware or anything designed to harm AskJev or its users.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you why first.

YouTube, Twitch and other services

AskJev uses the YouTube Data API and the Twitch API.

• By using AskJev you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
• Google's Privacy Policy applies to the data YouTube provides.
• YouTube, Twitch and Steam are trademarks of their owners. AskJev is not endorsed by or affiliated with them.

Data from these services is shown as those services provide it. We refresh or delete it within 30 days, as their terms require.

Results and AI

AskJev uses automated analysis, including AI models, to describe games and creators and to suggest matches.

• Results are estimates based on public information, which can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. AI-generated text can contain mistakes.
• Match scores describe how a creator's recent coverage fits your game. They are not a prediction of interest, replies, views, wishlists or sales.
• Check anything important yourself before relying on it, especially contact details and anything you put in a message.

Our service and intellectual property

We own AskJev, including its software, design, name and logos. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use AskJev during the beta, as these terms allow. They don't give you any other rights in AskJev.

Ending your use

• You can stop using AskJev and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or when the beta ends. Except for serious breaches, we will give you reasonable notice, and a chance to copy your own content (game information, notes, shortlists and drafts) for your outreach where that is practical.
• The sections on your content's licence ending, disclaimers, liability and governing law continue to apply after your account closes. When your account is deleted, our licence to your content ends, except for copies that remain briefly in backups (see the privacy notice).

Disclaimers

AskJev is a free beta provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about:

• availability;
• accuracy;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• the results of any outreach.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded by contract, such as consumer protection law where you live.

Liability

To the extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data;
• for a free beta, our total liability for all claims about AskJev is limited to 10,000 yen.

These limits don't apply to loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

You are responsible for your use of AskJev and for messages you send to creators. If a third party makes a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, where the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the beta changes or when we add features.

• We will publish the new version here with a new date.
• For changes that matter to you, we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons.
• If you don't agree to a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute is heard by the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance with exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Please contact us first at games@warweaverstudios.com. Most problems can be fixed quickly.

Other terms

• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a company that takes over AskJev, and we will tell you if we do.
• These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement about the AskJev beta.
• If we publish these terms in another language and there is a difference, the English version applies.
